It’s been a while since I wrote something for you guys, so I decided to give a nice review on one very well written book called Helen of Troy by Margaret George.
It’s an amazing book that brings history to life. It makes you relate to the life of the most beautiful woman in Greek mythology. The characters seem as though they have been conjured up by people you meet in your everyday life. Also, it gives you a brief taste of the Era of the Trojan War.
To avoid any spoilers I won’t go into details about the plot. The setting is quite descriptive given by the author. When the readers go through the book, they feel as though they are a part of it all, and most of all from the perspective of the protagonist, Helen. It is quite invigorating. It’s a thrilling experience once you read it and an extensive piece of work, very well written and researched by the author herself. There is no stone left unturned.
If you are a bookworm or booklover this book will definitely scar you for life – in the good sense, of course. You will surely want to read it again. Even for those people who despise the idea of reading history books or mythologies, they will definitely love it. I will recommend it to all.
So, what are you waiting for?
Take the risk and buy the book!
I will be posting soon. Happy reading guys!
